Sunday evening again...

Hello everyone,
Doesn´t the weeend go quickly? I hope you´ve had a nice one, even if the weather has been so awful.

I was wondering how you are getting on with your readers? Perhaps we can tell each other briefly about our books in the next class. I will also be bringing some more readers in with me on Tuesday for those of you that would like a new one.

That´s all for now,
See you soon
Julie

Hello from Julie

Hi there,
This is just to say hello and to remind you about a few of the things that you could
be doing in English this week at home.......you´ve got a selection, so do what you like best!

1. Write up your personal anecdote about a holiday or favourite memory from the past...using all those past tense verbs...of course...

2. Read some of your reader.....and try to concentrate on following the storyline, and not worry about the words that you don´t know....I´ll bring some more books in next week for those of you who had to leave early and didn´t take one.

3. Have a go at matching the famous people with the famous things they did (this is on the same photocopy as the prepositions we did)

4. Have a look at/listen to an episode of the soap opera ("culebron") set in "Tony´s Cafe". It´s on www.englishonline.org.cn/learners/listening/big-city-small-world/ (Highly recommended!)

Also, to give you again the details of that grammar/exercise book you might find useful for revision. It´s called "English Grammar in Use" by Raymond Murphy, published by CUP. If you decide to buy one, remember to get the one with the answers!

Have a good week. See you next Tuesday.
Julie
